Pachanga-Improv Partnerwork focuses on incorporating Pachanga movements and footwork into our Mambo partnerwork.
Like all our partnerwork sessions, this course consists of an individual breakdown of both the lead and follow's turn patterns, giving dancers the option to learn and refine both parts. It also includes a combined section where we work on lead-follow communication together, followed by a demonstration to music.
Through practice of this choreographed sequence and improv examples, we not only refine our understanding of how and when improvisation can function within the lead-follow structure, we also develop our ability to recognize opportunities for creative expression in all facets of our dancing.
